The Cannabis and Hemp artifacts presented in this virtual museum are from a private collection and are expected to be featured in a brick-and-mortar setting in one of America's cities in 2024.
The bottles, boxes, and envelopes containing the Cannabis medicines have been obtained over the past several years and the majority contain some if not a majority of the original contents. Some bottles were opened and the contents were tested in a few labs in Portland, Oregon in 2015 and the results show Cannabis compounds still preserved after more than a century.
The hemp shoes, shirts, pants, jackets, blouses, dresses, and underwear range from Tom's [shoes] to Georgio Armani blazers and even a bolero designed by Stella McCartney [Paul's daughter]. The hemp artifacts will be uploaded this summer.
More than 60 publications dating back to 1739 listing Cannabis as a medicine along with various literature on hemp for manufacturing back to the 1800s will be added to show how Cannabis and Hemp have been implemented throughout recent history. These will also be added this fall.
The website will always be 'under construction' so please come back occasionally and check out the Gallery as it is perpetually growing. And thank you for your support!
