The first artifact below contained about a kilogram of Cannabis Leaf and was used to supply Cannabis Leaf as noted "By Appointment to the Royal Navy Victualling yards, Portsmouth & Chatham" on the label. "Victualling yards" were supply outlets for the military so this jar would have been found on a military base or the like.
The second artifact of similar design contained INDIAN HEMP as noted by the hand-painted labeling. It's origin nor journey is known but it likely was used for maritime travel.
